To qualify for a place in the squad, you need to compete in at least 3 BCU surf events to earn yourself a place on the British Ranking List.

From this list, the highest ranked Welsh paddlers are selected & a squad is drawn. The squad then attends a selection weekend in June, where the team will be selected for the Mundaka World Championships 2007.
